Who can take out a Dis-Chem Funeral Plan?

You can take out a Dis-Chem Funeral Plan if you are between 18 and 65 years old, are a South African resident or hold a valid visa (excluding tourist, visitor, medical, exchange, or business visas).

How does the Funeral Cover Increase work?

You automatically receive a funeral cover increase of up to 250% (or up to R125,000) for the first three months of your policy. To keep this increase active for the full policy term, simply complete a complimentary health check at any Dis-Chem Clinic. The results of your health check will determine the level of your ongoing increase. If you don’t complete the health check within the first three months, the increase will lapse. However, you can reinstate it later by completing a health check, which will determine your new increase level.

Does everyone get a Funeral Cover Increase?

Yes! Every Dis-Chem Funeral Plan automatically includes a Cover Increase of up to 250%, based on your age at the time of signing up. It’s our way of giving you extra value and ensuring your loved ones are better protected.
